PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily separate a washing toilet seat apparatus from a toilet bowl in cleaning and other maintenance work in a toilet apparatus and to stably hold the separated state. SOLUTION: A lifting mechanism 4 capable of separating the washing toilet seat apparatus 3 from the toilet bowl 2 comprises a cam member 11 provided at one of the toilet bowl side and the washing toilet seat apparatus side; a sliding member 12 slidably provided at the other of the toilet bowl side and the washing toilet seat apparatus side and reciprocated while being engaged with the cam member 11 to carry out the lifting operation of the washing toilet seat apparatus 3; a horizontal surface 22b holding the washing toilet seat apparatus in the lifted position; and an operating member 14 connected to the sliding member 12 to allow the manual reciprocating motion of the sliding member 12.
