PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle dispersion, capable of forming a coating film having high adhesiveness. SOLUTION: The resin particle dispersion includes, as essential components, a resin particle (A) composed of a resin (a), a resin precursor (B) and a dispersion medium (U), the resin particle (A) having a volume average particle size of 1-300μm and a center line average roughness on the particle surface of 5-300 nm. The resin particle (A) preferably includes an outer shell layer (E) 0.01-0.2μm thick formed of a thermoplastic resin (e) and an inner shell (F) formed of a resin (f) which may be the same as or different from the thermoplastic resin (e).
