An aerosol apparatus (1) comprises a compressor unit (3), a nebulizing inhaler (2) having an inlet section (4) operatively connected to the compressor unit (3) for receiving the compressed air and an outlet section (5) for releasing a medicinal product to the outside environment after it has been nebulized by the compressed air in the inhaler (2), and a filter (10) located between the compressor unit (3) and the inlet section (4) of the inhaler (2) for filtering the compressed air. Prior art aerosol apparatuses do not have filtering systems for cleaning the air flowing out of the compressor but only filters that clean the air flowing into the compressor. That means there is the risk of the patient inhaling unwanted or potentially harmful substances (such as particulate or dust produced by wear of the moving parts, of the compressor or extraneous bodies, sucked in from the outside and not withheld by the inlet filter) transported to the inhaler by the compressed air flow, and originating, for example, inside the compressor unit itself. |
