The invention relates to a method, a device, and an arrangement for recording X-ray projection images. According to the invention, several projections of an examined object (2) are successively recorded from different angular positions by means of an X-ray tube (1) and an X-ray-sensitive detector (3), a reference object (R) is copied onto the detector, the travel of the position of the focal spot of the tube is calculated from the position of the reference object in the representations of the projections, and said travel is compensated in the second and the subsequent projections before the next projection is recorded.
