PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for recording broadcast content which even when a power-off instruction is issued during recording of a received signal, can record the received signal to the end by maintaining a power-on state until the received signal being recorded ends. SOLUTION: The device for recording broadcast content includes: a signal processing section for processing received signals of digital broadcast; a storage medium for storing the received signals processed by the signal processing section; a power supply section for supplying the signal processing section and the storage medium with power; and a switch arranged on a connecting path between the power supply section and a power supply. When a control section receives an instruction to turn off the switch, it determines whether the broadcast is being recorded or not, and when it determines that the broadcast is not being recorded, it immediately turns off the switch, and when it determins that the broadcast is being recorded, it detects an interruption of the received signals and turns off the switch.
