PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a jammed sheet easily from a scanner device stored in a pedestal supporting a display device even if a jam occurs in the scanner device in an information display system that is connected to the display device and can display image information read from a document on the display device. SOLUTION: The scanner device 50 can be stored in the pedestal instructing the display device, has a slide member 54 at a side, is engaged with the slide member provided at the side of the pedestal, and can be stored so that it can be drawn out of the pedestal freely. An upper unit 51 incorporating a document automatic feeder can be moved rotationally upward while the upper unit has been drawn out of the pedestal by a rotating shaft 53 provided at the device side. When a jam occurs, the scanner device 50 is drawn out of the pedestal to rotationally move the upper unit 51 upward, and one portion of the path of conveyance of sheets is opened, thus removing the jammed sheet P.
