PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for a pit or a manhole, which can express a variety of designs in multiple colors while ensuring an anti-skid function by asperities formed on an upper surface thereof. SOLUTION: The lid 10 includes a lid body 12 having the asperities formed on the upper surface 12a thereof. Then a color print layer 14 is formed on the upper surface 12a of the lid body 12 by means of an ink-jet printer (20) using UV curable inks. Further a transparent protective layer 16 is formed on an upper surface of the color ink layer 14 with a UV curable clear ink. The thicknesses of the color print layer 14 and the transparent print layer 16 are thin compared with the height of the asperities on the upper surface 12a of the lid body 12, and therefore the shape of the asperities on the upper surface 12a remains as it is.
