PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator with a compartment car part having a security function for avoiding deterioration of convenience. SOLUTION: The elevator is provided with a security compartment car part 2 using partitions 4, 5 having a transparent strengthen glass at a part of the inside of the elevator car 1, an entrance door 6 having the transparent strengthen glass at the single room car part 2, and an operating panel 12 having a destination floor ascending button, an entrance door opening/closing button of the compartment car part and an external notification button in an emergency, and a boarding door 3 is usually operated.
