The bicycle has a frame with a saddle tube (5) and a control tube (2) for connecting an upper tube (3) of the frame with a lower tube (4) of the frame. The tubes (5, 2) engage into a recess in both the tubes (3, 4) or are set together on impact or with sleeves. The tubes and/or a saddle support (6) and a chain support (7) consist of fiber composite material e.g. carbon fibers. The tubes and/or supports exhibit a matrix of thermosetting plastic or thermoplastic. The tubes and/or supports are manufactured as a preform and are preferably infiltrated or injected with resin. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a bicycle.
