The fluid tank has a fluid container (1), an opening (2) in wall of the fluid container, and a filling pipe (3) that is arranged on the opening. A coupling unit (6) is provided for connecting the filling pipe with the opening of the fluid container. A movement device (6a) is provided for moving the filling pipe. The filling pipe is moved by the movement device, in a mounting position, which corresponds to position of fitting in vehicle, or in a transport position. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a fluid tank in a motor vehicle.
