An LCD panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent defect such as an increase of wiring resistance from being generated, owing to corrosion or disconnection when various members are mounted on a mounting terminal unit. An LCD panel(10A) comprises a display area. The display area comprises as follows. Plural scanning lines(12) and signal lines(16) are formed in matrix type. Lower electrodes are formed on a planarization film, opposed at an interval of an insulating film in every area surrounded by the scanning lines and the signal lines, and are made of transparent conductive materials, respectively. Upper electrodes have plural slits(25). A mounting terminal unit comprises a gate insulating film, a passivation film, a contact hole for piercing through the gate insulating film and the passivation film, a first transparent conductive film electrically connected to a mounting terminal wire, an insulating film, and a second transparent conductive film. |
