ROUTE SEARCHER, CONTENT PROVIDER, CONTENT CONVERTER AND PROGRAM THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present content in combination with an operating situation of a transcoder without using a device having an advanced processing capability as a renderer or server.

SOLUTION: A conversion manager 5 comprises: a functional information managing means 54 for extracting identification information and a conversion function of the transcoder 3 from a presence announce signal to produce a table storing the associated information; a content request receiving means 55 for receiving a content request indicating a message requesting content including a format of corresponding data from a renderer 4 or the transcoder 3; a route calculating means 56 for calculating a connection route for converting the requested content into a format of data corresponding to a device which has sent the content request based on the table; and a message notifying means 57 for returning a message which is redirected to a device in the preceding stage which sends the content to the device which has sent the content request in the connection route.
