<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating direction switching circuit for a DC motor to switch the rotation direction at high speed not mechanically but contactlessly, so that switching efficiency and reliability are improved and service life and a DC motor can be applied in many places. <P>SOLUTION: In the rotating direction switching circuit for the DC motor including a DC motor and a rotating direction switching circuit, the DC motor is electrically connected to a DC power supply, driven by current from the DC power supply, and the rotating direction switching circuit includes a first power semiconductor element and a second power semiconductor element. The first power semiconductor element is connected in series with one side between the DC motor and the DC power supply, and the second power semiconductor element is connected in series with the other wide between the DC motor and the DC power supply. The first power semiconductor element and the second power semiconductor element are opened/closed alternately by checking the polarity of the DC power supply, to switch the rotating direction of the DC motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
