PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check whether a thermosensitive recording medium is correctly conveyed or not with a simple structure without having a prescribed black mark for detecting conveyance failure or jamming on the reversible thermosensitive recording medium in advance or without having a plurality of sensors. SOLUTION: With the record of record information D comprising image data, characters and bar codes designated by a user to the thermosensitive recording medium 1, the black mark 5 is written on an end of the thermosensitive recording medium 1, and the black mark 5 is detected by a reflection sensor 9, and the conveyance failure or jamming of the thermosensitive recording medium 1 is detected based on periodicity of the black mark part in the detected black mark 5.
