PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drunk driving prevention system capable of preventing a person other than a driver in a vehicle from being tested as a dummy and passing an alcohol test. SOLUTION: This drunk driving prevention system is provided with an alcohol detection device 4 for testing whether the breath of an occupant seated on a driver's seat in the vehicle is alcoholic or not, a semiconductor laser 12 for generating incident light L1, and a light receiving element 15 for detecting the reflected light L2 obtained after reflecting the incident light L1 on an object, and also provided with a sensor controller 5 and a movement detection sensor 10 forming an occupant partition space surrounding an occupant seated position by the incident light L1 generated by the semiconductor laser 12 and a driving possibility/impossibility determining device 2 for determining whether the occupant is in the occupant partition space or is out of the occupant partition space based on the result of detection by the movement detection sensor 10. The driving possibility/impossibility determining device 2 permits occupant's driving when an occupant's drunken state is not detected by the alcohol detection device 4 and occupant's coming-in or coming-out-of the occupant partition space is not detected and regulates the start of the vehicle when the occupant's drunken state is not detected and occupant's coming-in or coming-out-of the occupant partition space is detected.
