PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission and reception apparatus which can transmit a video stream without interruption until a network is reestablished while keeping synchronization between client terminals even if a management terminal stops operation by being shut down or for other reasons during the transmission of the video stream between the client terminals. SOLUTION: When a BCH is detected, the CPU 11 of each client terminal corrects a reference clock time based on the reference clock time information of the management terminal 1 which is added on to the BCH (S51). When no BCH is detected or when detection is repeated until the internal clock time of the local unit reaches a BCH reception time and no BCH is still detected (S52), the CPU 11 of each client terminal notifies the detection to a PLC network control data generating circuit 408 and a PLC reception timing generating circuit 507 accordingly to instruct them to generate an internal reference clock time based on the error information measured previously.
