PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver designed to automatically change over a broadcast station by searching for a broadcast station that is proper in reception sensitivity, and broadcasting the same program. SOLUTION: This broadcast receiver is provided with a broadcast reception means for receiving broadcast information being broadcast; an acquisition means acquiring program information of broadcast information being received; a storage means storing the program information acquired by the acquisition means; a reception sensitivity determination means determining the reception sensitivity of the broadcast reception means; and a search means searching for a broadcast station that is proper in reception sensitivity; and is structured, such that when it is determined by the reception sensitivity determination means that the reception sensitivity is not proper, program information of broadcast information being broadcast by the broadcast station found out by the search means, and having proper reception sensitivity is compared with program information of broadcast information previously stored in the storage means, and having been received up to now, and when there is a broadcast station broadcasting broadcast information comprising the same program information, the broadcast station is selected to receive broadcast information thereof.
