PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor which has high mobility and a large current ON/OFF ratio and is superior in storage stability. SOLUTION: The organic transistor has an organic semiconductor layer, which contains at least one kind of a compound represented by a general formula (1). In this formula, X<SB>1</SB>to X<SB>8</SB>independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight-chain, branched or cyclic alkyl group, a straight chain, branched or cyclic alkoxy group, or a substituted or un-substituted aryl group, respectively.
