PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for displaying a multi-level character, graphic, still picture or the like, as a single-level one so as to be clearly viewed even from a short distance. SOLUTION: The display device includes: a display part 59 comprising a plurality of arrayed light emitting elements; a display control part 54 for performing a gradation display; a memory part 51 for storing display data and a threshold; and a display data switching part 65.
