PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet treating device capable of preventing any mistaken determination that a storage part is full by detecting any swell of paper sheets stacked on a stage and a paper sheet hooked by a bill stopper. SOLUTION: A top paper sheet P of paper stacked on a stage 42 is tapped by a blade of a rotating impeller 45, squeezes the swell of the paper sheet P, draws the paper sheet, and a stage moving means moves the stage 42 from the paper sheet pressing position to the stacking preparation position.
