PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a braking device with a brake mechanism doubled, and to decrease the number of parts. SOLUTION: The braking device is equipped with two rotating portions (a first rotating portion 8, and a second rotating portion 8') mounted to a rotating shaft 2 so as to rotate interlocked with the rotations of the rotating shaft 2 of a hoist machine. The braking device is equipped with a first field 4 fixed on the hoist machine between the two rotating portions. The braking device is equipped with two braking portions (a first electromagnetic coil 5, a first elastic element 6, and a second electromagnetic coil 5' and a second elastic element 6') provided on the first field 4 to press the two rotating portions and brake the rotations of the rotating shaft 2, and releasing the pressing of the two rotating portions in a predetermined case.
