In starting of an engine (3), a hybrid control section (15) sets a motor generator (7) and a clutch (33) to a non-connected drive state, an internal-resistance detection section (57) detects internal resistance of a battery (9), a battery temperature sensor (55) detects environmental temperature, and the hybrid control section (15) determines the degree of deterioration of the battery (9) based on the internal resistance detected by the internal-resistance detection section (57) and on the environmental temperature detected by the battery temperature sensor (55).
