<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine whether a photographed image needs to be rephotographed, using a monitor screen. <P>SOLUTION: When an edge having a large edge width is detected by analyzing a photographed digital image, the edge is displayed in a state where the edge width can be recognized on a confirming screen. Thus, which part of the photographed image is blurred can be recognized easily, and whether the image must be rephotographed can be properly determined. A part of the edge, having a small edge width, may be displayed on the confirming screen with the edge emphasized.
