<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device configured to make contraction/elongation of an electromechanical conversion element larger and also to improve supporting stability of the electromechanical conversion element further. <P>SOLUTION: In the drive device 1, a piezoelectric element 4 is elastically supported by a holder 3. Accordingly, the contraction/elongation of the piezoelectric element 4 is made larger than, for example, when the other end of the piezoelectric element 4 and one end of a driving shaft 6 are biased by the holder 3 so that the piezoelectric element 4 may abut on the driving shaft 6. Besides, the piezoelectric element 4 is biased to the other side in the extending direction of a reference line FL by a spring 26 arranged between the piezoelectric element 4 and the fitting part 22 of a supporting member 20 in the hollow driving shaft 6. Consequently, the supporting stability of the piezoelectric element 4 by the holder 3 is improved further than, for example, when a weight member is attached to the other end of the piezoelectric element 4 without providing the spring 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
