PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for recording/reproducing a video, which are advantageous for achieving speeding up of a recording/reproducing operation of a large amount of continuous digital video data. SOLUTION: A recording area 48 having one logical block address allocated thereto is set as one recording unit 52, and M recording units 52 where LBA is continuous are formed into a digital video data recording unit lump for recording digital video data. One or more recording units 52 connected to the digital video data recording unit lump are set as digital video data information units post_info for recording additional information regarding the digital video recording unit lump. The digital video data recording unit lump and the digital video information unit post_info constitute a reading/writing unit.
