PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is obtained by providing the surface of an electrically conductive substrate with a photosensitive layer at least including an electron transport agent, a charge generating agent, and a binder resin. The electron transport agent is a compound expressed by general formula (1), wherein R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>denote an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbons, an alkoxy group of 1 to 6 carbons, an aralkyl group of 6 to 20 carbons, an aryl group of 6 to 20 carbons, or cycloalkyl group of 3 to 10 carbons.
