PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser module with superior high frequency characteristics, which is applicable even to a transmission type optical transmitter sending out packet signals in bursts, and to provide a semiconductor laser module device equipped with the same. SOLUTION: Apart from lead pins for data signal input (lead pin 15 for positive-phase data signal input, lead pin 16 for negative-phase data signal input), the semiconductor laser module 1 is equipped with, as a lead pin for bias input, either a lead pin 17 for positive-phase bias input and the lead pin 18 for negative-phase bias input, or one of the lead pin 17 for positive-phase bias input and lead pin 18 for negative-phase bias input. Further, it is preferable that the respective lead pins 15 to 18 and laser diode 10 are connected by impedance-controlled transmission lines 6 to 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
