PIGMENT DISPERSANT, ITS PRODUCTION PROCESS, AND ITS USE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VOC-free dispersant, its production process, its aqueous solution, a pigment dispersion and a colorant made with the pigment dispersion. SOLUTION: The dispersant contains (a) 5-30 mass% aromatic or other monomer units, (b) 10-30 mass% monomer units having acid groups, (c) 40-80 mass% (meth)acrylate ester monomer units, and (d) 5-30 mass% monomer units having polyalkylene glycol chains of 150-1,500 number-average molecular weight. The dispersant has 30-300 mg-KOH/g acid value, 5,000-30,000 number-average molecular weight and≤0.2 mass% content of organic compounds each having≤250°C boiling point. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
