PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase flexibility of design and to reduce unnecessary discharge load in a cake discharge path from a filtering space. SOLUTION: A filter apparatus is configured in such a manner that: cylindrical or conical inner and outer filter media 1, 2 concentrically disposed with their centers arranged vertically are rotated around the center, a spiral partition 3 set in a filtering space 4 between the inner and outer filter media 1, 2 is not rotated, liquid to be treated is fed from a lower end of the filtering space 4, filtrate having passed through the inner and outer filter media 1, 2 is discharged to the outside, and the cake formed by the filtration is raised along the partition 3 and discharged to an upper side of the filtering space 4; and the cake discharged to the upper side of the filtering space 4 is placed on an annular rotary disc 20 from a discharge port 24 via a discharge space 4X, then is pushed out of the annular rotary disc 20 and discharged to the outside by a discharge guide body 25, in the course of rotary transferring of the cake by the annular rotary disc 20.
