PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system capable of surely receiving content data without missing a distribution time of the content data, a distribution server, a receiving terminal and a computer program. SOLUTION: In the content distribution system in a network in which the distribution server 102 for distributing a plurality of pieces of content data is connected to a receiving terminal 104 for downloading the content data, the distribution server is provided with a transmitting part for transmitting the plurality of pieces of content data and meta-data including schedule information about a distribution time of the plurality of pieces of content data, the receiving terminal is provided with a receiving part for receiving the content data and the meta-data transmitted by the transmitting part of the distribution server, and a transmission requesting part for requesting transmission of the content data on the basis of the schedule information of the meta-data, and the transmitting part of the distribution server transmits the content data on the basis of a request of the transmission requesting part.
