PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning body made of a corrugated fiberboard which is brought into contact with each corner part of a square panel to cushion and protect it and easily assembled from a sheet by a manual work, by which the upper and lower products are not directly brought into contact with each other and exhibits an excellent cushioning protective effect when the panels are piled up. SOLUTION: A cushioning body for a corner is provided with rectangular elevating face plates 2 and 2' which are symmetric left and right to a folding line A as a symmetric axis, and is provided with three kinds of folding pieces 3a, 3b and 3c which are symmetric left and right above and below the elevating face plates 2 and 2' through folding lines, and is furthermore provided with at least one sheet of a partitioning plate 4. Three kinds of the folding pieces 3a, 3b and 3c are folded so as to make a U-shape, the elevating face plates 2 and 2' are made to be common walls, the folding piece 3c of the end part is wound so as to be piled up at the central part of the elevating face plates 2 and 2', and a corner frame 11 consisting of square cylinders being a set of two pieces is formed on the insides of the elevating face plates 2 and 2'. In addition, the corner frame 11 is assembled by bending orthogonally the square cylinders being a set of two pieces through a bending line between the elevating face plates 2 and 2' and by inserting the partitioning plate 4 into a gap between the square cylinders being a set of two pieces.
