<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproduction system and a recording/reproduction method which can grasp an outline of contents within a single frame using subtitles data. <P>SOLUTION: The recording/reproduction system comprises: a storage part for storing content data including picture data and the subtitle data interrelated by time information; a subtitle letter string acquiring part for acquiring a subtitle letter string included in the subtitles data; a time acquiring part for acquiring the time information corresponding to the subtitle letter string; a picture acquiring part for successively acquiring picture information corresponding to the time information of the subtitle letter string acquired by the time acquiring part from the picture data; and a display control part for thumbnail-displaying the picture information acquired by the picture acquiring part in time series within a single frame in a display part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
