PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with an accessory shoe, whose quality in design is excellent and which does not become a hindrance in terms of operation of the imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with a finder, the accessory shoe and an attachable/detachable shoe cover with which the accessory shoe is covered, and constituted to expose the insertion port of the accessory shoe by moving the finder in a direction where it is separated from the accessory shoe. By moving a finger putting part for detaching the shoe cover so that the finder may be separated from the accessory shoe, the accessory shoe is exposed. The upper surface of the shoe cover is nearly flush with the upper surface part of the finder, and all the surface of the accessory shoe is covered with the shoe cover.
