PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic isolation device capable of preventing a lamination part from buckling when displacement is caused horizontally. SOLUTION: The seismic isolation device 1 has the lamination part 4 formed of rubber layers 10 and hard plates 11 alternately laminated in a plural number and is interposed between a lower part structure 8 and an upper part structure 9. A pair of upper and lower cylindrical restraint members 5, 6 are provided to be arranged coaxially with the lamination part 4 and respectively fixed to the lower part structure 8 and the upper part structure 9. Opposite ends 4a, 4b in an axis 0 direction of the lamination part 4 are respectively arranged inside the restraint members 5, 6 and spaces S are respectively formed between inner peripheral surfaces 5b, 6b of the restraint members 5, 6 and outer peripheral surfaces 4c of the ends 4a, 4b of the lamination part 4.
