摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the conventional finite element method is not originally suitable for a discrete system since contact of a partial element is treated based on a continuum, cannot cope with the discrete system which contact of elemensts becomes complicated as surface and surface, surface and angle, side and side, meanwhile, in the conventional particle method, the particle shape is limited to the simple shape such as a sphere, and the large numbers of particles are required in three-dimensions in order to simulate the complicated shape. SOLUTION: A program of the particle method is provided, having the following procedures. (1) Presence/absence of contact of particles is determined by presence/absence of contact of a mathematically smooth closed curved surface representing the shapes and size of the respective particles. (2) A contact point and a contact plane on calculation are provided by a contact point and a contact plane when both closed curved surfaces are isotropically reduced with the same magnification so that both closed curved surfaces contact at one point. (3) Contact area and rigidity are determined using the contact point and the contact plane. By the precedures, the particle shapes should just be the smooth closed curved surface, and discrete system problems with the complicated shapes are analyzed with the small number of particles.
