PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal analysis apparatus capable of executing highly accurate radiation calculation within a short calculation time, a thermal analysis method, a program, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: A surface element object area calculation part 14 calculates an object area of surface elements in each component on the basis of the heating value of the component composing an analysis target. A surface element model generation part 15 combines surface polygons of a polyhedron of a three-dimensional element model generated by a three-dimensional element model generation part 13 to generate a surface element model composed of surface elements more than the object area of the surface elements in each component which is calculated by the surface element object area calculation part 14. A thermal analysis part 16 applies thermal analysis based on numerical analysis such as a finite element method, a finite difference method or a finite volume method to the surface element model generated by the surface element model generation part 15. An output part 17 outputs analysis results, e.g. values such as temperatures or heat flux of respective portions, which are obtained by the thermal analysis in the thermal analysis part 16.
