PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner and a method for manufacturing the toner free from filming, having preferable fixing property and transfer efficiency and giving an image of high picture quality, and to provide a two-component developer, a developing device and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The toner includes: a first group of toner particles containing at least a first binder resin having polarity, a first colorant and a first release agent having low polarity with respect to the first binder resin; and a second group of toner particles containing at least a second binder resin having polarity, a second colorant and a second release agent having high polarity with respect to the second binder resin, the second group having a volume average particle diameter smaller than that of the first group of toner particles.
