PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord for reinforcing a rubber article, which can stop the spreading of corrosion toward the filament axis of a strand to effectively prevent the corrosive deterioration of adhesion, even when a tire is damaged in its outside, and can simultaneously achieve the improvement of breaking strength. SOLUTION: This cord in which a plurality of sheath strands each composed of a plurality of filaments are arranged on the periphery of one or more core strands each composed of a plurality of filaments is formed by disposing a polymer between the core strand and the sheath strands and filling a polymer on the insides of the outermost layer filaments of the sheath strands.
