PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a permanent magnet motor having a shaft which requires only partial change when the axial length of a permanent magnet is changed and allows the other part to be used in common. SOLUTION: The permanent magnet motor comprises: a stator 4; a shaft 9 provided rotatably on the central axis of the stator 4 and supported, at the both ends thereof, by a front bearing 7 and a rear bearing 8; and a rotor 11 having a permanent magnet 10 secured to the shaft 9 to rotate together with the shaft 9 depending on a rotating field produced in the stator 4. The shaft 9 comprises a first output shaft member 50 into which the front bearing 7 is press-fitted, a second output shaft member 51 into which the rear bearing 8 is press-fitted, and an intervention member 52 provided between the first output shaft member 50 and the second output shaft member 51 and having an outer circumferential surface on which the permanent magnet 10 is provided.
