PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network device constituted so that data can be transmitted and received most efficiently and stably on a path in advance when sending data over a plurality of types of networks, and a user can set as easily as possible a data length or transmission intervals required therefor. SOLUTION: A network device comprises a means for storing specific characteristics for each class of a network system, and a setting means having a function of enabling a user to easily set the class or the like of each network system connecting a server and a client while using a menu list displayed on a screen, and a function of allowing the order set by the menu list to indicate the connection order of each network system as it is. By combining the specific characteristics and the information of the connection order, a suitable data length or the transmission timing of transmission data is calculated and set, thereby obtaining desired performance.
