PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can effectively prevent the leakage of soft and watery excrements from an end part (especially from the back side) and achieves easier production with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The absorbent article has an adsorbent, a top sheet which is so arranged as to cover the top surface of the adsorbent and has at least a part of it formed out of a liquid-permeable material and a back sheet which is so arranged as to cover the undersurface of the absorbent and formed out of a liquid-impermeable material. Furthermore, a lower sheet and a sheet for receiving the excrements are provided on the top surface of the top sheet. The permeation speed of soft excrements V<SB>2</SB>of the lower sheet is larger than that V<SB>1</SB>of the other sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
