PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma sterilizer and a plasma sterilization method for generating a plasma stream in steam flow under atmospheric pressure and performing sterilization by the plasma stream. SOLUTION: The plasma sterilizer is provided with: a tube 10 which comprises a dielectric, has one end thereof released in the air, and places an object to be sterilized inside; a steam generation part 30 which is connected to the other end of the tube 10 and generates steam to be flown inside the tube 10; an electric discharge part 20 which is provided in the middle of the tube 10 and generates dielectric barrier discharge inside the tube 10; and a voltage generation part 40 for applying AC voltage related to the dielectric barrier discharge to the electric discharge part 20.
