PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving ride comfort while maintaining controllability, stability and durability. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass 25 formed by superposing a first carcass 26 and a second carcass 28 with each other. Due to this structure, resistance to external damage and durability can be secured. Since the carcass 25 formed by superposing the two carcasses 26, 28 can enhance the rigidity of a side wall part 15, controllability and stability can be secured. An intermediate extension percentage of the carcass 25 within a region A from a portion located in the tire radial inner direction of a belt end part 22 to a maximum width part 16 of the side wall part 15 is set larger than that of the carcass 25 outside the region A. Thus, the carcass 25 positioned in the region A can absorb a shock input to a tread part 10, so as to enhance ride comfort.
