PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a roll assembly 190 to be easily and surely mounted to a mounting part 130 in an ink jet type recording device 100. SOLUTION: The recorder comprises: a roll 192 around which the long-length body to be recorded is rolled up; a mounting part 130 which is extended to the outside than the roll 192 and mounts a roll assembly 190 including a flange 194 rotating together with the roll 192; a recording part 140 comprising a recording head discharging ink, and, while drawing the medium to be recorded from the roll assembly 190 mounted to the mounting part 130, sticking ink to the medium to be recorded, thus successively forming an image; a temporary placing member 152, in the moving direction of the roll assembly 190 in the case of being charged to the mounting part 130, supporting the roll assembly 190 at a position before the mounting part 130; and a guide part 150 guiding the movement of the roll assembly 190 from the temporary placing member 152 to the mounting part 130.
