The system (1) has an anchor plate (3) connected with a motor vehicle (2). The anchor plate moves on a roadway (4) during an accident, and is brought in contact with the roadway to increase delay of the motor vehicle. A separator (5) is provided for separating the connection between the anchor plate and the motor vehicle in dependence of pre-defined parameters. A releasing parameter which is a defined braking distance and a defined braking time is provided to the separator. The anchor plate is connected with a chassis of the motor vehicle by a connection element (6).
