METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING BROADCAST/MULTICAST SERVICE IN CASE OF R-P CONNECTION FAIL BETWEEN MASTER PACKET CONTROLLER AND DATA SERVICE NODE

A method and a system for providing a broadcast/multicast service to a broadcasting service controller in the case of R-P connection failure between a master packet controller and a data service node are provided to enable a master packet controller to supply a broadcasting service continuously despite the failure when setting up R-P connection. A communication unit(400) communicates with each base station management sever, and a broadcasting schedule management unit(410) transmits broadcasting scheduling information and a broadcasting start message to the base station management sever. An R-P connection checking unit(420) judges whether R-P connection succeeds or fails by using a route setting response message transferred from the base station management sever. When receiving a broadcasting service type change request signal from the R-P connection checking unit, a broadcasting service type changing unit(430) changes a global type broadcasting service into a local type broadcasting service and request a local broadcasting request signal from the base station management sever. When receiving a signal, which request the output of an R-P connection failure alarm message, from the R-P connection checking unit, an output unit(440) outputs an alarm message.
