<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably turn on a desired number of light emitting diodes (LEDs) with a small number of time divisions and a small number of signal lines. <P>SOLUTION: An LED control circuit 22 for controlling an LED matrix circuit including the LED connected in matrix by Y number of common lines and X number of data lines in N time division is provided with: a Y signal (common line) timing control section 42 in which one phase is allocated to each of P number of common lines, and one phase is allocated to each of Q number of control lines, where N=P+Q, and which sequentially makes the P number of common lines and Q number of control lines active; a selector 44 which receives output of Q number of control lines, and selects any of (Y-P) number of common lines in each of Q phase according to a selection signal; and an X signal (data line) timing control section 46 for making the data line which is connected to the LED to be turned on, active, connected to X number of data lines, and the common lines which become active in each phase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
