<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display of excellent display quality, capable of enhancing flatness of an electrode on a reflecting layer, by forming a flattened layer on the reflecting layer having an irregular shape on a surface, and capable of uniformizing an electric field generated between the electrode on the flattened layer and the other electrode. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display 100 is provided with the first substrate 10, the second substrate 20, and a liquid crystal layer positioned between the first substrate 10 and the second substrate 20, and the first substrate 10 is provided with the reflecting layer 14 arranged in a prescribed area and having the irregular shape on the surface, the flattened layer 16 formed to cover the reflecting layer 14, and the common electrode 17 and the pixel electrode 19 provided on the flattened layer 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
