<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying water in a water tank for preventing algae from growing in the water tank effectively for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The method for purifying water in the water tank is characterized by using carbon fibers (A) processed by raising in the presence of light under water.
