<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality due to disconnection caused by deterioration of a connecting electric wire or forgetting to make connection in replacing a sensor unit. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes: a sensor unit constructed by a sensor part 2 for generating an electric signal of a magnitude corresponding to a change amount of infrared energy radiated from a human body, a bandwidth amplifying part for amplifying the electric signal generated by the sensor part 2, and a comparing part for comparing a signal amplified by the bandwidth amplifying part 3 with a predetermined threshold; and a signal processing part 5 for performing signal processing based on the comparison result of the comparing part 4, wherein abnormality of the sensor unit is determined from the voltage level input to the signal processing part 5 within a predetermined time after the power supply voltage 11 of the sensor unit is put in the on state. Thus, abnormality determination due to disconnection caused by deterioration of the connecting electric wire or forgetting to make connection in replacing the sensor unit can be achieved in simple and inexpensive constitution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
